How to get your free license key
- Create a free account at portal.trivla.com (or sign in to your self-hosted portal).
- Open Manage → Licenses and click Get free Community key.
- Copy the key (starts with
trvl_) and apply it during agent install or runtrivla-agent license set <KEY>. - Verify the agent registers under Track → Agents in your portal.

The free Community key covers up to 3 agents and core monitoring features. Professional and Enterprise keys are purchased from Manage → Billing after topping up your wallet.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get a free Community license key?
Sign in to the portal, go to Manage → Licenses, and click Get free Community key. One free key is included per account. Paste it into your agent config or use trivla-agent license set <KEY>.
Is the portal really open source?
Yes. The portal and API server are published on GitHub under an open-source license. License validation runs via TRIVLA servers so you can self-host without bypassing entitlement controls.
Can I use my own portal with TRIVLA Cloud licensing?
Absolutely. Deploy the open-source portal on your infrastructure and connect agents to it. Community keys are claimed from central; paid keys sync through your account.
What counts as an agent?
Each installed TRIVLA agent instance on a unique host requires one license seat. HA pairs and containers are documented in our enterprise licensing guide.
Do you offer annual contracts?
Professional plans include a ~17% discount when billed annually ($416/mo vs $499/mo). Enterprise customers receive custom multi-year pricing with volume tiers.
